Chaar ghut ki Chai: Bhonsar version

This blog is for the tea lovers. So if you aren't one, just go through it. May be you will become one:)

(Kabhi baarish main adha bheeg ke chai ke saath pakode khaye ho, toh Pyaar Kya he jaante ho!)

Evening and morning are the time when you are the most relaxed! I mean just look at your sorroundings, the weather, doesn't it give you chills? Either you are planning your day or thinking how has your day been! Either you are leaving for work or returning home hectic. That moment if someone hands you a cup a tea toh Kya mast lagega naa! Uske sath kuch namkeen ho toh!?

(glasses main fog nai dikh rahe, bahut badi baat hai yaar)

When I was a child I used to roam around my parents to have tea. I thought only grownups drink tea. And they be like pouring a little to my small plate. I was collecting from everyone and at the end I had a full plate of chai. I bet, that time I was flying. Used to be my favourite time of the day.

It's always been in my priority list. Like who doesn't love chai? The small bubbles on it, the freshness after the first sip, the sudden realization when you burn your tongue, when your mother adds milk to the tea leaves, the gentle smell that blinds you , the last part with the remaining tea dusts... Man, I die for it! All of it! Chai is like liquid Menaka on Earth.

I'm lucky my roommate is a tea person. So when it feels low she be like 'Chal na chai pine chalte hain' and I just can't deny it even though I wish to because "Chai ko kabhi Naa nai bolte".

(Probably thinking, Latt lagi toh bhi kiski!)

So here are my and my friend's 5 favourite places to have tea from, ofcourse in Bhubaneswar.

 1. Chai Biscuit

Acharya Bihar

They make literally every kinds of teas from Malai tea to ginger and lemon. Moreover, they have added cheap bites too like Maggie or french fries. We go there more for the bikes than tea lol. It's the khatti center of this side . You will find people doing komedy or having sutta with a mati ra cup. Enjoy :)

(Waiting because GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME <3)

 2. Laxman Tea stall

 Near chaandi bhandar, Saheed Nagar

This man has my heart. Like idk how he does, but he does it soooo goooood. He adds something tangy like texture I so much fancy. A normal cup is of 10 bucks and a small one is for 6. Take my name and he'll give you for five XD

(I love love love this picture of her. I remember something Joey would be saying now. If he's funny then LAUGH!)

(well, I Snapchat everything. Umm, sorry?!)

 3. Tandoori tea

Front gate, old AG colony

aye haaye! Wo joh chai ko phutphut karke garam mitti me dalta he...aye haaye! Since lockdown, this place is the new viral point. A cup is worth 15 bucks and it's really worth it. Like, I had two. Lol.

( it was a good day. And as always, I had both the cups yikes!!)

 4. Matka chaska

Near Jagamara road

This is a new one opened a month before or so. To make something different it has various flavours of tea like starting from chocolate to strawberry. We had our ilaichi wali chai because flavours ke chakkar main muh kyun kharab karna.

(the shop was cute, the cups were cute, the water bottles were made of mitti and the boy was cute too, I should've asked his number, shit!!)

( I had only one cup here though, sad!)

 5. Irani Tea

The tea cube, Galaxia garden, Patia, Infocity

We had heard about it a lot so had to try it. Found out, it's terribly good. This tea source has come from iran, they didn't exactly tell us how do they make it but it was good as Romeo. They give you in those classic white tea cups and plate that you will feel you are either rich or old. They serve other teas as well, but the proper Irani Tea costs 25/-.

(Good place to hangout, there is a mango tree in front of it so take time convincing the watchman. Just saying.)

(this is my only food blogger lookalike pic)

And for a bonus,

 6. Kullad tea

RD front, near Monginis

If you stay in Saheed Nagar or Vani vihar you will totally love this one. It's our everyday go to place though. The cup comes in both 10/- and 6/-.

(The uncle is very friendly, will give you water before tea. )

                (achha hai yaar, try karlo)
