Thanking your loved ones: pandemic again!

And here we are. Again after a month. Am I making it obvious to post one blog per month? Well, I don't know. Watching the pandemic outcomes, I can't go out much otherwise I was thinking of something outdoor( also, good photos:/). Anyway we will just keep it simple and distant.

          (umm, not that distant though)

To keep you out of the boredom, here's a picture of my cat.✨

(Cho is 8 months now, a big guy. That's why shy I guess)

As the title says, we are going to discuss about serving gratitude to our beloved people. They can be friends, family, cousins or professors. I mean is it that weird, to say a simple 'thank you' even in the funniest shortest way possible and what they mean to you and that you're really privileged to have them in your life? No, right! So let's just do it. Make it happen, make them happy.

(technically, I'm 6 years older than her)

I remember in the early stages of COVID previous year I sent some really good mails to my friends telling how funny they are and how beautiful they look when they have their ugliest laughs. How weird they become when something bothers them, how amazingly evil they appear when they put a bottle full of oil in their hairs. I mean come on, we know our friends and close ones more than anyone else no!! So what are your friends like? Do they talk about cricket, do they call you at 2 am without a second thought to tell the 'boy/girl' problems, do they confess what hurts them, do they reveal their secrets from childhood, do you guys become nostalgic over a random topic in tea time or while having maggie? Do you bunk classes, do you go out together and split bills? I know these are the silliest and simplest things but don't these matter? Doesn't it make you happy, even just thinking about it? Then just think, how grateful you are for the tiniest kinds of happiness and all those cheerful memories. In my case, I know lots of stuffs about my pals, when I start writing I can't stop. It just appears from nowhere and I keep writing. Honestly, my friends hate me that I write so long, in paragraphs, in one liners, with quotes, with poems, adding photos, making reels. I act so over sometimes and I don't feel guilty about it. Why should I? Why would anyone(even my friends) take charge of how much weird I can be or how well should I speak to a man?

(I miss you, bitch 🥺🦋 I miss how you just wake & tell me about your illogical dreams)

Things apart, the tasks(not really) precisely I wanted you to present were to be emotionally open, to expose things you love about them and to make the feelings escape from your system(even the bad ones). I can promise, you are gonna feel a lot more different and lighter than before. Also, is it doing any harm? Yes, saying you love them, you miss them, you care for them, texting cute cuddly emojis may embarrass you. But it'll be more fun when they will know how you feel about them, some will reply with the puppy eyes emoji.

Here's a song suggestion. Please please listen to it(if you havent) it's so good I'm crying :(

                   ( It's been a long day

                 Without you, my friend

And I'll tell you about it

                  When I see you again)

So just go for it. Type that text. It can be a simple ''dude, you're so cool I'm gonna miss you", or a paragraph or a sticker or a song that reminds you of them. Just take the simple steps. Call them, rant about literally anything going in your life, tell about your fears of getting that job, and finally tell them how calm you become after the talks(long or short) because there's Noone who can introduce you to yourself, tell them you will always support their decisions and you're gonna give a treat when you next meet and of course, be ready to hear the ugliest laughs. The laughs are going to be real. Not from the mouth but the heart. Because now they know. Sometimes separation makes you realize how close you are.

It's time to thank them for being really supportive to you and be patient to bear you. Because we don't know how long we will spend without seeing their faces, without having those khattis, without the bike rides, without their self made masala maggies. I can't promise you about your life right. You're alive now but may be not tomorrow Kyu ki Kya pata Kal ho naa ho!!

(not an apt picture, gonna put it anyway)

Well I'm not here for giving gyaans and I know someday we all are going to die but later is better right XD

Gentle (I'm not trying to act like your mother) reminder:

  •  Drink lots of water to stay hydrated

  • Act kind to the people you live with

  • Decrease your screen time and spend time with your family, pets or with your own(positively introspect)

  • Don't watch News too much (dying from corona> dying from stress)

  • Learn something different. Act on your hobbies/ get a new one.

But seriously one of the good things to come out of this pandemic is people are now realizing today is all we have, our past is remnant of a time we can no longer access and future is lost to uncertainty. So heres to making the most of where we are right now.
